The PROJECT / Partners and participants

DEGAZMAG is based on strongly collaborative work between four research groups from three partner laboratories: the Petrology group and the Geochemistry group of Laboratoire Magmas et Volcans (LMV) at Clermont-Ferrand; the Magma group of Institut des Sciences de la Terre d'Orléans (ISTO); and the noble gas laboratory at the Centre de Recherches Pétrographiques et Géochimiques (CRPG, Nancy). Altogether, these four groups provide a top-level expertise in experimental magmatology, light element geochemistry, radioactive disequilibria, noble gas geochemistry, and physico-chemical modelling of magmatic processes.

As a whole, DEGAZMAG involves about fifteen permanent researchers and 7 non-permanent researchers: 1 post-doctoral fellow and 3 PhD students at LMV (all financially supported by the Région Auvergne), 2 PhD students at ISTO (one supported by DEGAZMAG and one supported by the european project FP7 VUELCO), and 1 PhD student at CRPG (supported equally by DEGAZMAG and the Région Lorraine).
